A strange collection of sounds, from bass sine waves to trilling percussion, via simple electronic hums, sampling Stockhausen, Eraserhead and Kenneth Williams along the way.

Written and recorded on cassette for the 1998 London 'happening' Just Coping, curated by Richard Squires.

Just Coping was an event in London in 1998, which featured visual artists, filmmakers, fanzines, drag cabaret and DJs and was intended to be a hybrid celebration of LGBT+ creatives working outside of the mainstream. The event received minimal funding yet garnered significant press interest, becoming an exemplar of queer ingenuity and determination.

The line-up for the evening included artists who would go on to make significant contributions to the arts in the US and the UK: American cabaret star and future trans icon Justin Vivian Bond and their partner Kenny Mellman; artist Luther Price, who would become a key figure in the US experimental film scene; prospective Electroclash pioneers Fil OK and Jonny Slut who would establish the infamous NagNagNag club, London in the early 2000s; Superstar DJ Tom Stephan; future curator of London underground venue The Horse Hospital, James B. L. Hollands, and artist-filmmakers whose work would make a substantial cultural impact in the years to come.
